‘Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine’ by Gail Honeyman

The shutdown over the coronavirus pandemic has afforded me the opportunity to get through the 4-5 unread books at home. Yesterday’s read – ‘Eleanor Oliphant..’ was a page-turner. Winner of the ‘British Book Awards Book of the Year’ and ‘2017 Costa Debut Novel Award’, this book is funny and touching.

Eleanor captivates you. With a dark, suspenseful past, a no-nonsense attitude and utterly immune to social trivialities, she wades along, content in the monotony of her life until a series of encounters force her to review her life.

As I journeyed with Eleanor, I felt myself rooting for her and turning into her biggest cheerleader. Thoroughly enjoyed this gem of a novel!
